Hello to ALL, I am new to this site. I have questions. I am a 36 year old women. I have found a lump in my groin area about the size of 2 peas put side by side. I do not feel pain, just sum discomfort only due to its near the crease of my leg. I have also found a dark spot, a small spot on the labia. My questions are, has anyone had anything smiliar to this?
I do have a scheduled appointment with my doctor in June. I would be very grateful for any information, I would not like to assume that it could be melanoma, I have browsed the web for photo's, I didn't find that helpful, thank you for replying if you do.

Try to get an earlier appointment!so many things this could be so it should be seen earlier.

Go to a dermatologist, get a biopsy and get to your doctor ASAP or find a new one. If this is a fast growing melanoma you don't have over aonthe to wait.

My Mother didn't take action for 3 months. Her melanoma spread like wild fire and went front one bump to over 20 lumps and bumps, with 5 tumors in her trunk and brain mets. She is stage IV. You really want to avoid this if you can. Act early.

I agree with the above post with getting an earlier appointment.  If you can't get an earlier appointment with your current doctor you should seek other providers.  I think if you explain the situation you should be able to get an earlier appointment.  Sometimes the appointment schedulers are difficult to deal with because some really don't understand the medical urgency but if you can talk to a nurse or doctor I'm sure you won't be waiting until June for an appointment.

The one thing I've learned about swollen nodes is that generally cancerous nodes are not painful whereas inflamed nodes are often painful to the touch.  Odds are this is nothing but you really should get it checked sooner rather than later.
