James L Young

May 23, 1957 to November 23, 2007

Known as Jim to many, to his family he was "Lyn." My beloved big brother was my best friend and confidante. Although my heart is broken forever, I will always remember his sense of humor - all the way until the end - and his love of music. Lyn was a great musician and played guitar for many bands over the years, includng BitterSweet, Stoney Creek, Detante, Talon Eye, and most recently The Grateful Dads. Lyn also jammed with some great ones and memories of those sessions I'll treasure forever. I loved listening to my brother play his guitar and don't remember a time that he didn't play. His song for me was Norweigan Wood, he played it for me often.
In addition to his music, Lyn was a professional man and owned his own consulting firm, which kept him busy travelling throughout the US and parts of Europe.
Married with a daughter, Lyn always had time for his brother and sisters, always greeting us with hugs and kisses. He was a most loved brother / brother-in-law, uncle, and Godfather who will be missed terribly.
Jim fell ill suddenly with what was first thought to be a flu. It took five weeks and three hospitals for him to be properly diagnosed with metastatic melanoma. He died 5 weeks later, on November 23rd, 2007, at the age of 50.
We Love You, "Lyn." Rock On Bro!!
