Janet C. Fondacaro 6/25/54 - 8/19/11
For those of you who don't know my Mother, she was a survivor. She is the strongest person I have ever known. She was the daughter of Frank and Jeanette Fondacaro, and mother to me, Alana Gudknecht, her only child. My Mom was a hard worker. She worked every day of her life since she was 12 years old. She always took care of my Grandmother and I. She put the needs of her family before her own. She struggled to make ends meet but always made sure there was a roof over my head and food on the table. I was well taken care of and had everything I needed. She was a great person with a big, kind heart. She and I had a deep connection, and were very close. She was my Mom, and my best friend. I always knew I could count on her for anything. If there was something I needed she would find a way to make it happen. She told the nurse before she passed away that I was her life. She told me several times that I was the reason she woke up in the morning. A lot of times in the past, she was mine. I often felt like she was the only person who understood me. I could talk to her about anything. She loved me so much that even in her final hours she was thinking about me. She waiting until she saw me one last time to pass away. I love her, and will forever miss her.
