Back from Moffitt on Tuesday. Scans and labs are great! They pushed my scans out to every four months (Yay!). June will be two-years NED for me! Still taking Zelboraf and doing well. The side effects are quite tolerable.
My friend Lisa and I just completed our first annual Zumbathon for MRF. I decided at the onset of this journey that a Melanoma diagnoses is bad so how do I turn it into something good? Get the word out of course! I hope along the way I help just one person get that mole that "looks weird" checked and convince the Mom to stop allowing her teen to continue going to tanning beds. That's my plan to make this something bad be better.
To all of you on your journey, hope is an awesome thing. You have it. Don't give it away and never allow someone to take it from you. You do and can make a difference!
Life is not by accident. Make every minute count.
