I have since learned that being beautiful is NOT about being tan.
I turned 50 Aug 2010 and requested a colonoscopy. I was scheduled for the test 2/7/2011. The ulcerated 6.75mm lesion was found during the exam and then removed 3/25/2011 - Diagnosis Anal Melanoma
Stage IV, how could this be!!!
I hope I can be a part of a new generation of cancer patients who can look at the disease as a chronic illness to be watched and controlled, not as a death sentence.
CANCER PICKED THE WRONG GIRL!
A melanoma diagnosis in 2004 inspired me to help others...
Surviving melanoma twice, eighteen years apart.
I had another cancer survivor tell me that I was lucky I just had skin cancer. It was at that point that I realized people knew very little about the deadliest form of skin cancer.
I'm 38 with stage 3 melanoma. I'm a stewardess and a Mom..my fight begins tomorrow with immunotherapy. I'm a survivor..
I have been dealing with stage III melanoma for the last 10 years. My latest incidence was another positive node 6 months ago..... and so the fight goes on.
