Dr. Michael Atkins, Deputy Director of the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University Medical Center and Co-Chair of the MRF's Scientific Advisory Council, is the course director for the interdisciplinary one-day Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) certified educational symposium “Melanoma Biology and Patient Management 2014” taking place on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center in Washington, DC. This course is for oncologists, dermatologists, surgeons, oncology nurses, and dermatology residents.
This interdisciplinary, one-day conference will examine clinical updates in melanoma biology and review many exciting techniques for early detection and diagnosis. In addition, revolutionary advances in the treatment of patients with high risk and metastatic disease will be discussed with a special emphasis on the multidisciplinary approach in the care of melanoma patients.
