This teleconference focused on the fear of recurrence of melanoma. Whether you are newly diagnosed or are years after diagnosis, this program will help you with your concerns. The conference is intended for patients with melanoma, friends, or family members.
Speaker: Neal Niznan, LCSW
Mr. Niznan will help you with:
· Ways to cope with fear of recurrence
· Methods for managing reactions to follow-up appointments, tests, and cancer anniversaries
· Establishing better psychological adjustment and emotional well-being
· Making plans for the future
· Creating healthy support systems
Mr. Niznan is a Patient Support Specialist in the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania, He provides psycho/social support to patients with melanoma, gastrointestinal and breast cancers. He is a frequent presenter at their "Focus On" series of workshops throughout the year speaking on managing the uncertainty of cancer. Neal also conducts a private psychotherapy practice helping clients manage marital and individual issues.
