Ms. Lisa Kottschade, Assistant Professor of Oncology at the Mayo Clinic, hosted a free national educational teleconference titled Survivorship: How to Have Hope, Courage and Empowerment.

Ms. Kottschade is a nurse practitioner at the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center and is the coordinator of their Mayo Clinic Department of Oncology Multidisciplinary Melanoma Clinic. Lisa's primary academic interests involve development of novel therapeutics for patients with advanced melanoma. She currently co-chairs several clinical studies for patients with metastatic melanoma using combinations of conventional chemotherapy and biotherapeutics. She is very passionate about patient education empowering them to be advocates in the treatment of their disease. Ms.Kottschade received her bachelor's degree at Winona State University in 1996 and her master's degree at St. Louis University in 2005.
