Calling all MRF volunteers! You are invited to the MRF's first annual national Volunteer Summit, March 16th-17th, in beautiful Washington, DC! This FREE, two-day training will provide you with the information you need to have the greatest impact in your community. MRF trainers will provide proven tips for hosting your own local fundraising events (including coordinating a committee, handling event logistics, vendors and finances, etc.), working with the media, how to influence change on Capitol Hill and MUCH MORE!

Topics include:

  • Planning a Grassroots/Miles for Melanoma Event
  • What’s New on the Melanoma Landscape?
  • Working with the Media
  • Building a Volunteer Committee
  • Social Media 101

Who should attend? Anyone who is currently volunteering as a MRF advocate, fundraiser or event organizer - and anyone who would like to be! This is a great opportunity to meet other volunteers and strengthen the fight against melanoma.

The MRF will provide hotel accommodations and meals for this two-day summit. For additional details, please contact Mary Mendoza, National Director of Volunteer Services, at: volunteer@melanoma.org. Please note that registration for the summit is now closed.
