TEAMM4M – Making a Difference for Melanoma, One Mile at a Time

Melanoma Research Foundation Team M4M Miles for Melanoma

Thinking about running a marathon or half marathon this year? You can make your run benefit melanoma research by helping raise money for the Melanoma Research Foundation. The MRF is committed to supporting research to find effective treatments and eventually a cure for melanoma, the fastest growing cancer in the US.

TEAMM4M was founded in 2006 by Kevin Stenstrom, a marathoner diagnosed with melanoma. Perceiving a lack in sporting event fundraising around this cause, he identified MRF as the best partner to further his goals, and the rest was history! Last year the TEAM raised $150,000; this year, it’s $200,000.

Join us – let’s reach this goal together!

Why TEAMM4M? Two simple reasons:

  • TEAMM4M is devoted exclusively to funding Melanoma research.
  • There are no contracts to sign and no fundraising minimums.

How can you join TEAMM4M and start helping us reach our goal?

  1. Register for your Full or Half-Marathon
  2. Go to FirstGiving and sign up as a member of TEAMM4M
  3. Create a personal fundraising page.
  4. Tell the world about your commitment! Share your page on Facebook, Twitter or Google + – and reach out to family and friends and ask them to contribute.

I’ve done all that – what’s next?

  1. Start Training! Check out our 20-week customized schedules to help you train for your full or half-marathon.
  2. Meet New Friends! Connect with other runners by Liking our Facebook Page
