Q: What do I get for registering?

A: You get a 20 week training schedule that you can use to train for any marathon or half marathon, a training shirt, a racing singlet, access to a coach via email, and weekly group runs in one of our three training cities. Register now.

Q: Will you register me for my marathon?

A: No, you will be responsible for registering yourself for the marathon of your choice.

Q: How can I be a part of the team if I’m training alone?

A: Get to know your TEAMmates on Facebook at facebook.com/teamm4m.

Q: Can I train on my own or do I have to train with the group in one of these three cities?

A: You can train wherever you want; we are offering group runs in these three cities for those who like to train with a group.

Q: Will I still get coaching assistance if I can’t participate in the group runs?

A: Yes, if you join the program you will have access to a real coach via email.

Q: I don’t want to pay the $50 Registration fee to the MRF, can I still join?

A: You can still join the Miles for Melanoma™ program where you train on your own; unfortunately, you will not be eligible for marathon entry or travel reimbursement.

Q: What if the marathon I want to go to is sold out?

A: We are saving thousands of dollars by opting out of charity partnership contracts so more of the money you raise goes directly to research. Therefore, we do not have access to marathons that have already sold out.

Q:  Does the registration fee count towards the fundraising goal?

A: Yes, the registration fee will be included as part of your fundraising goal.

Q:  Is a contract and my credit card required?

A:  No, the program is no longer requiring a contract between the runner and the MRF.

Q:  Is there a minimum fundraising requirement?

A: No, there is no minimum requirement.  There are fundraising incentives available when you reach particular goals.  See more information on fundraising incentives.

Q:  Can I communicate with other TEAMmates?

A:  Yes, join the TeamM4M facebook page and get to know all our runners.

Q:  Where do I register?

A:  Register with Firstgiving. Registration is $50, (only $25 for alumni!).
