Patient Reference Guide

The Patient Reference Guide was created to empower and prepare newly diagnosed and restaged melanoma patients to become their own advocates. It is a resource tool to help people with melanoma, caregivers and their families throughout their cancer journey. It includes a list of cancer resources in the United States, as well as other resources that may be of assistance.

Educational and Support Organizations

Living with a serious disease such as melanoma is not easy.  Many people affected by melanoma may have trouble find credible information online. The following organizations and Web sites provide accurate, reliable information and resources that will assist you in finding answers to your questions.  Several of these organizations offer melanoma support groups, which many people find extremely helpful.  In these groups, patients or their family members get together to share what they have learned about coping with the disease and the effects of treatment.  Melanoma support groups may offer support in a number of different ways, including in person, over the telephone, or on the Internet.
