Patient Stories

When the future seems filled with uncertainty, often the most comfort comes from knowing someone else has been through the same situation. Through our experiences, we understand the best reassurance and support comes from stories shared by other patients and families in similar situations.

I just found out the cancer has come back in my liver, I am choosing to remain optimistic. I am a fighter and a survivor.
Never give up, never give in.
I had another cancer survivor tell me that I was lucky I just had skin cancer. It was at that point that I realized people knew very little about the deadliest form of skin cancer.
As I’m sure most young people believe, I thought I was too young to ever get melanoma.
I’ve learned the most important thing in the world is to maintain hope.
I have since learned that being beautiful is NOT about being tan.
