My father was a great man. He was the most selfless person I have ever known. He always put his family before himself. He had a PhD in physics and always knew the answer to any question. He had a great sense of humor and a kind heart. He was always there to help anyone, and never had a bad word. When the doctors diagnosed his melanoma they gave him a year to live. He lived 8 long years with his family. Even in his final days in the hospice when his body had shut down and he was on his way out, he was making jokes, and apologizing for inconveniencing the nurses. That's the kind of man my father was. We lost my Dad on August 2nd, it was the saddest day of my life. The world is a far darker place now that he is gone.
