Has anybody been on this trial?   I am still waiting for ipi to arrive in Montreal but it's taking so long was wondering about doing this one first which is in Boston. Would appreciate any thoughts on this.  Val

Hi Val

from what i have read this drug works by blocking the enzymes which help tumor cells to grow. Seems to work in the test tube not sure if its been trialed on humans yet, Make sure if you do this that it does not preclude you from doing Ippi later.

best wishes

Thanks for the advice James.  I will most definitely make sure that it doesn't prohibit me from 'ipi' afterwards.  Apparently, Stephen Hodi from Dana Farber was involved in http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01026324.

The one I applied for is this: http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00937937

I would definitely have waited for 'ipi' but arrival is getting later and later so given the option of having to use temodar (no results last time) and doing this I will opt to do this if I am allowed. My progression is really getting out of hand.

I wish somebody had more info about it though...I do know that dinaciclib selectively inhibits cyclin dependent kinases CDK1, CDK2, CDK5, and CDK9; inhibition of CDK1 and CDK2 may result in cell cycle repression and tumor cell apoptosis...but I don't know of anybody having done it.  Val
