Just checking in on you and how your first days are going, I meet with everybody today and start treatment on the trial tomorrow.
Returned home late last night (Wednesday) after 1st treatment on Tuesday. Feeling great with no side effects of any kind from either Ipi or Temador. Had to stay and extra hour on saline solution after 90 minutes for the Ipi infusion. I am taking the Temador at bedtime (10 pm or so) with the anti naseua medication 30 minutes before. I have been told to NEVER skip the anti naseau medicine (Zofran), so it seems to do its job. The Temador goes for 4 days, with 4 pills each dose.
From what I have learned, you can have more and/or different side effects as you move forward. So things may happen the 2nd or 3rd course that did not happen the first time around. My attitude is - so far, so good! I watched the Ipi drip and said to myself "now let's go kick Mels butt!". Wishing you the best - be strong and stay in touch. Sorry for my sudden exit from the chat room last night. I just hit the wrong button accidentally, but by the time I got back you were already gone.
Good Luck to you on your treatment...and you too David!
Just getting up and around (sleeping in) I go in at noon and stat the drip and then go home tomorrow we live in Springfield Mo(11 HOURS). no big deal since I drive to my back yard near Jim to Estes Park 3 to 5 time a year to play. I will report later if i have any issues. Thanx Sharon for the kind words.
Fully rely on GOD & try not to ruin today by worrying about tomorrow
Hope you are feeling well - any side effects? Wow - thats a long drive to Houston - do you have any help with that? So you go to Estes Park regularly - maybe we should meet for coffee sometime you are passing through Denver.
