Apply for Social Security disability insurance. They be able to back-date your disability to the orginal timing of cancer.

This is not true.  My husband is on Social Security Disability and they did not date it back to the origianl timing of cancer.

Live 4 today. Thank God for all he has done for us. Looking forward to enjoying tomorrow.

they told me i cant get on it anyway.  so i wont be able to afford to have treatment since my doctor told me it would cost around 90,000.00.  what is a person to do.

Usually, insurance has a yearly cap - an "out of pocket maximum".  So you may be responsible for 70% UP TO $5000 or whatever your maximum is for your plan.  Once your treatment costs go exceed the out of pocket maximum, they are usually covered entirely.  This doesn't include copays but does include major medical stuff.  I'd check with your insurance for the exact details.

As for your recurrence, we'd really need a bit more information to be of much help.  Have you already had the groin nodes removed?  Where exactly in the groin tissue is the recurrence?  MD Anderson is a great place to be, but we need more information about your current situation to be of help with regards to treatment and/or clinical trial info.

Hang in there,
