Newly diagnosed with melanoma?
Talk to others who know what you're going through.
The MRF’s Phone Buddy Program can put you in touch with others who have been diagnosed with melanoma and completed a wide range of treatments for their disease. Phone Buddies understand what you are going through because they’ve been there — and survived. They are available to share their own personal experiences and provide understanding, support and practical information.
Buddies are a source of encouragement and hope to newly diagnosed individuals. We can match you with someone using a wide variety of criteria such as melanoma type, stage, type of treatment, age and life situation.
All of our Phone Buddy volunteers receive regular training and can provide you with a shoulder to lean on, and can act as a sounding board for you as you navigate the melanoma landscape.
If you would like to participate in this free program as either a patient or a volunteer, please contact Mary Antonucci, national director of volunteer services, at (202) 347-9675 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
