Miles for Melanoma 5k Runs/Walks
Communities Coming Together to Fight Melanoma
Nationally Presented by Bristol-Myers Squibb
Held across the country, Miles for Melanoma 5k Run/Walks are community fundraising events that support the critical research for viable melanoma treatments so desperately in need.
Miles for Melanoma events are a great way to meet others who — like you — want to find better treatments for melanoma. Many of the events are produced by local volunteers who have dedicated their time and energy to making it a day of inspiration and fun. Typically, events are held on weekend mornings, with several hundred attendees who walk or run a 5k (3.1 mile) course.
Prizes for top finishers and fundraisers are awarded at the events. The MRF often is able to provide free skin screenings on-site as well as other educational opportunities regarding sun safety and melanoma prevention.
Funds raised by Miles for Melanoma participants support critical research for treatments, and ultimately a cure for melanoma. By participating in a Miles for Melanoma event, you can help make a real difference in the fight against melanoma!
The Miles for Melanoma 5k program is nationally presented by Bristol-Myers Squibb for the second year in a row and nationally sponsored by Novartis Oncology.
