The 2012 CURE OM research grant awards were announced in January. We are excited to announce the two grant recipients: Dr. Levi Garraway of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and Dr. John Sondek of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Read more about these world-renowned researchers, their projects and their contributions to the ocular melanoma community HERE! These grants, as well as upcoming 2013 grants, are made possible by generous individual donations as well as a donation by Guerbet USA, in honor of Dr. David Eschelman for his ongoing dedication and hard work in the OM field and on behalf of patients. CURE OM would like to extend appreciation to all of our donors, Dr. Eschelman and to Guerbet for their commitment to research and finding a cure for OM.

The MRF's CURE OM Research Grant Program emphasizes both basic and clinical research projects that explore innovative approaches to understanding ocular melanoma and its treatment. All proposals will undergo rigorous peer review by experts in the field. Proposals with the highest scores, and with discreptant scores, are then reviewed a second time by additional experts.
